Creative Writing

Since this class is so amazing, I wanted to give you a chance you will get into your style of writing. I have 5 prompts that you may pick what you want to work with.

  1. You will use the following metaphors in your writing: pitcher of bitterness, taste of sacrifice, and house of delight.
  2. The following words: steel, comic book, discarded soapbox, rubber soles, and postcard .
  3. Rewrite Snow White from the point of view of a dwarf who can be as strange as you want. This can take on a Hitchcock appeal if you would like. It is all up to you!
  4. Begin your story with: The shore fumed at the waves......
  5. Use the following words in your story: hypocrite, cookie jar, city, and telephone.
  6. You may also be entirely original and choose your own story.
  • Who are two of the main characters in your story.(character development sheet)?
  • Write a creative story about this person
    • Plot Development (Outline)
    • Setting( Setting Sheet)

Your story is to be very creative. I want it to be a a very descriptive story so I can see, hear, and smell what is happening.
It will be a minimum of 20 pages and it will be typed, double spaced with one inch margins!

Do not tell me that the house is abandoned but instead example: the faded black shutters hanging from one of the four remaining screws, long forgotten over the years of neglect.
